GRIGORIOS PAPAFLESSAS (1788 - 1825)
Grigorios Dikaios Flessas, aka Papaflessas, was a Greek Patriot, Priest and Government Official, who reached the highest priesthood position of Archimandrite in 1819. Also named Minister of Internal Affairs and Chief of Police by the government, he managed to realise a lot of reforms in the mail system and built many schools in various regions of Greece. He participated in many battles but was finally, he was killed in the battle of Maniaki of Messinia fighting against Ibrahim Pasha.
